Here is how to set up Formuler Z8 IPTV in a few minutes: open the MyTVOnline portal app, add your account and your channels appear. We also explain how Dreamlink boxes work.
To set up IPTV on a Formuler Z8, open the MyTVOnline app, choose Add Portal, name it, enter the server URL, username and password (or playlist link) from your email, then save and select the portal. Your channels load within a minute.

Formuler boxes are built specifically for IPTV, and the Formuler Z8 is one of the most popular models in Canada. It combines a powerful Android-based system with a portal app called MyTVOnline, which is designed to display live channels, movies and series in a clean, TV-style interface. A Formuler Z8 IPTV setup is mostly a matter of adding your account to the portal.
If you have a Formuler Z10, Z11 or an earlier Z model, the steps are very similar. The box uses the same MyTVOnline family of apps, and the main differences are the processor speed and the supported video formats.
A Formuler box is dedicated hardware. It does not need app installs from outside stores, it includes a remote with IPTV-friendly buttons, and its interface is fast even with large channel lists. Many customers choose it as a reliable main television box because it simply works every day.
Dreamlink boxes are also designed for IPTV and often use a portal-style setup similar to MAG boxes. If you own a Dreamlink, follow the portal steps below and check the portal or server field in the box’s own settings. If you are unsure, send us a photo of the settings screen and your order number.
Before you begin
Do not have a plan yet? Pick one on the plans page, or request a free trial to test on your formuler box first. Your login is emailed after your Interac e-Transfer is received.
Step by step
Follow these steps on the box. Names may differ slightly between software versions.
Plug in power, connect HDMI to your TV and add Ethernet or Wi-Fi. Choose your language and complete the first-time wizard.
From the home screen, open the MyTVOnline app, which is the portal where you add your account.
Select Add Portal, then choose the type of login you were given, such as Xtream codes or an M3U link.
Type a name, such as “IPTV Canada Officiel”, so you can recognise it in the list.
Type the server URL, username and password, or the playlist link, exactly as emailed.
Save the portal and select it. The box loads your channel list, movies and series.
Open the TV guide and allow it to download. Mark favourites using the coloured buttons on the remote.
Check for software updates now and then to keep the box stable.

On a Dreamlink box, open the settings and look for the portal or server option. Enter the portal URL we provide, name the portal, save, and restart the box. If your Dreamlink requires a MAC address, find it on the label under the box and enter it at checkout.
Check each field for spaces or typos. Make sure you chose the right login type.
Test internet speed and restart the box and your router.
Wait a few minutes and refresh the guide from the app’s menu.
Replace the batteries or re-pair the remote following the Formuler manual.
Check HDMI cable, TV input settings and make sure you are on Premium.
After your Interac e-Transfer is received, we email the details you need. Depending on the app, you will see a server URL (sometimes called a portal or host), a username and a password. Some apps ask for a single playlist link instead. Always copy the details exactly as written: a missing letter or an extra space is the most common reason a login fails on Formuler box setups.
Keep your login private. It is tied to the number of devices you ordered, and sharing it with friends can cause both of you to be logged out. If you lose the email, check your spam folder or contact support with your order number.
Live TV uses a steady stream of data, and the amount depends on picture quality. As a rule of thumb, a standard-definition channel needs about 3 Mbps, an HD channel about 6 to 8 Mbps and a 4K channel 20 Mbps or more. Add a margin for other people using the network at the same time. If your household streams on several screens, aim for at least 25 Mbps for HD or 50 Mbps for several 4K screens.
Run a speed test from the same room where your formuler box is located, not only next to the router. If the result is much lower than your plan, try a wired connection, move the router, or switch to the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band. These small changes fix most buffering complaints without any extra cost.
